Malachy Tallack will be touring Australia for the Perth Writer's Festival and Adelaide Writer's Week and as he passes through Sydney we are pleased to announce that he will join us to introduce his new book The Un-discovered Islands.

Critically acclaimed author Malachy Tallack takes us on an excursion into the beautiful, mysterious and mythical landscapes of the world.

In his beautifully illustrated book he has gathered over twenty islands that have decidedly human origins, as the products of imagination, deception or simply human error. They are phantoms, fakes and legends: an archipelago of exiles and forgotten lands. From the well-known myths of Atlantis, to islands that were once thought to exist but no longer appear on maps, islands from literature to others whose existence is still in question, Malachy has created an atlas of wonder.

About the author:

Malachy Tallack is a writer and musician. He has written for the New Statesman, The Guardian, Caught by the River and many other publications online and in print. He won a New Writer's Award from the Scottish Book Trust in 2014, and the Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship in 2015. As a singer-songwriter he has released four albums and an EP, and performed in venues across the UK. He is from Shetland and currently lives in Glasgow. His previous book was the bestselling Sixty Degrees North (2015).
