NOTE: Woodes Rogers (circa 1679-1732) was an English sea captain who with two ships sailed round the world from 1708 to 1711. During the voyage he had several engagements with the Spaniards in the Pacific and rescued Alexander Selkirk the castaway who was the inspiration for 'Robinson Crusoe.'
