A set of proof portrait plates in photogravure of the three famous Australian poets, each bearing their printed autograph.

This is a rare or used book from the Berkelouw Rare Books Department.

A m.s. pencilled note states "When the first editions of the Snowy River Series were printed about 25 years ago photographs were given as frontispieces. The enclosed are proof copies - a few of which were struck off at the time". Each measuring 190 x 255 mm. including the stiffened mount board on which each proof is set down. The set in pencilled envelope. Unrecorded. NOTE: The Snowy River Series was published by Angus & Robertson prior to WWI.
