NOTE: Chapters 1-3 deal with Schumacher's exploration and survey of Javlan and Havran describing the general physical characteristics the villages ruins and tribes of the area. The last 2 chapters are provided by Laurence Oliphant (" A Trip to the North-East of Lake Tiberias in Javlan") and Guy le Strange ("A Ride Through Ajlun and the Belka during the Autumn of 1884").
