Encased in fine red solander box with silver ribbon (light foxing on inside of case). Silver-dec. spine with red morocco title-labels and raised bands. (x, pp. 151-380). With 56 full-page col plates, 14 full-page b/w plates, distribution maps and text-illusts. Limited edition of 1000 copies, this being No. 554, and signed by the author and illustrator. Light foxing on front and back end-papers, otherwise a near fine copy. NOTE: Joseph Forshaw is an Australian expert on parrots. He has produced several ornithological works with artist, William Cooper.
