Sydney: George Stephen Chapman 1891. Royal thick 8vo. Cloth (shelf-soiled; edges rubbed). Black titling to front cover and spine. (cxcvi 456pp.). Printed in double-column. Ex-library copy with library sticker inside front cover and stamp on title-page. Front hinge cracked otherwise a very good copy. NOTE: In 1891 the first National Australasian Convention was held with the intention of developing and drafting a constitution for a Commonwealth of Australia. Edmund Barton who was to become Australia's first Prime Minister coined the phrase 'a nation for a continent and a continent for a nation'.
