NOTE: Letter from USA Ambassador Robert Worth Bingham to 'Gone with The Wind' author Margaret Mitchell (1937). The opening line reads "I do not thank you for GWTW ---I bless you." The letter continues "you have written the greatest novel ever written by an American." Bingham has a special connection with this book due to his Southern roots and his Father being a master in the Ku Klux Klan.
