Brisbane: James. C. Beal 1872. F'scap folio. Tied as issued. (22pp.). Slight foxing around edges of title-page. NOTE: Mr. John Douglas worked as a Agent-General for Emigration Queensland before resigning. This petition was put forward by Sir Samuel Griffith. It claims that Mr. Douglas's honour and personal reputation was called into question with an official reprimand from the Government when they were accepting his resignation. As a result of the petition he was mostly exonerated by the government.
