Small 12mo. 7.5cm x 10cm. b/w silhouette. Handwritten in ink "Abraham Dawson" on front & "John Tandys Huddleston" on rear. Unique item. NOTE: Purported to be convict Abraham Dawson who was transported at the age of 17 for "stealing books." Silhouettes known as "Shades" were at the peak of their popularity in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
