Oxford: Clarendon Press (Oxford University Press), 1931. 8vo. Blue cloth boards. Gilt ship on front board and gilt title to spine. Price-clipped dustjacket (lightly chipped around edges; spine lightly toned). With frontisp. portrait, two fold-out maps of Tierra del Fuego and Navarin Island, 13 b/w plates and 12 b/w figures throughout. Endpapers toned and light foxing to top edge, otherwise fine. NOTE: Baldwin Spencer (1860-1929), was the second director of the National Museum of Victoria, a noted biologist, photographer, anthropologist and helped transform university standards of Australian science.
