London: John Russell Smith 1858. 8vo. Orig. blind-stamped cloth (edges bumped). Gilt titling on spine (top and bottom edges chipped). (xii 344pp.). With contemp. adverts at end. Ex-lib. copy with sticker on inside of front cover. Slight foxing on preliminary pages and end-pages. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. NOTE: The word 'Druids' came from a Celtic word that translated as 'knower of the oak tree'. They acted as priests teachers and judges.
