Foxed heavier on frontisp. title-page dedication page preface and endpapers. Offsetting on title-page and pages prior to frontisp. Previous owners bookplate on front free endpaper. Faded ex-lib. stamp on front free end-paper. NOTE: Edward Davies an Anglican clergyman and Welsh writer focused on the meaning of mythology and the origins of language in the Celtic history. This work became an important part of the recovery and reinvention of druidic tradition in the 19th century.
