(Sydney): Printed for the Australian Limited Editions Society 1939. Sm. 4to. Orig. dec. cloth (slightly flecked). Gilt. (54pp.). Illust. with woodcuts by L. Lindsay some of which are full-page and with 4 extra full-page woodcuts printed on Japanese vellum bound in at end. Title-page printed in pale green/black ink. Ed. lim. to 350 numbered copies fully signed "Lionel Lindsay" the artist. Endpapers lightly foxed/browned otherwise a very nice copy. NOTE: Henry Lawson (1867-1922) was a prolific writer who "reached a large audience with his popular ballads celebrating typically Australian characters" (Longman Dictionary of Poets). His writing had a profound influence on Australian culture.
