This is a rare or used book from the Berkelouw Rare Books Department.

New York: The Natural History Press 1967. 8vo. Orig. cloth (flecked). Price-clipped dustjacket (lightly shelf-soiled). (xvi 92pp.). With 12 text-figs. and 15 plates including 1 map. 1st ed. Inscription on front free endpaper. Previous owners blind stamped ex-lib. design on half title-page. Light toning on endpapers otherwise fine. NOTE: This fictitious book was written by Gerold Karl Steiner a German zoologist who invented the snouters during the 1940's. When it was translated in 1967 it was unclear as to if it was an joke amongst the zoological community or as an example of an instructional biological text.
