London: Printed for the Author, 1793. Roy. 8vo. Original half calf over marble paper boards (lightly rubbed). Raised spine bands. (vi, 156, 2pp.). With 14 full-page engraved plates, and a large folding map at end. Clean tears in pp. 99 and 130 repaired. Back hinge cracked but holding with back pages partially detached. Some occasional foxing, otherwise fine & complete. 1st edition. NOTE: William Hodges was a noted English painter who accommpanied James Cook to Pacific as the artist.
