With two b/w lithographed frontispieces 2 maps of which 1 is folding 4 hand-coloured bird plates and 7 full-page engraved plates. Vol. I is presentation copy from publisher to Editor to Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine with inscription on half title-page. Small tears to folding map. Slight foxing to preliminary pages and end-pages otherwise a good complete copy. First edition.
