Some minor old damp staining in text but otherwise an excellent uncut copy of the very rare 1st edition bearing an 1873 inscription on dedication page. NOTE:The author was Deputy-Superintendant of the Colonial Department at the International Exhibitiion; A pioneering work on the commercial benefits of recycling waste materials this work was so well received by the public that subsequent editions were published in 1873 and 1876.
